WPF Focuses on Industry Challenges and Opportunities

Helping dealers capitalize on the "Best Practices" of other industry leading dealers is regarded by our members as one of our major organizational strengths.

Using input from dealer members we find common areas of "pain" in dealerships and bring together dealers that have found workable solutions in their organizations to overcome these challenges.  We explore the issues with these dealers and develop white papers to distribute to all WPF dealer members.  The white papers are a snyopsis of the solutions, challenges, opportunities the dealers faced and how they adapted and overcame the obstacle and how they are using their solutions to make their dealership stronger and give themselves a competitive edge.

Offshore Solutions
   for the Office Furniture Industry
With all the import options hitting the industry today dealers are challenged to find the right sources and effectively blend them into their organization.  Our Offshore Solutions focus group dealers outlined several ways that dealers can effectively use imports without disrupting their focus on their current branded suppliers and how through a proper blending strategy they can increase their profits, win more business, and keep the competition out of their current accounts.

The focus group consisted of contract and non-contract dealers that had solved the offshore puzzle for their dealership and were fully engaged in driving this initiative within their dealership with excellent results.  The concensus of the group was that the right corporate focus on imports can help any dealer add to bottom line profits and win more business.

The White Paper report on Office Furniture Imports exhibits one of the major strengths of the WorkPlace Furnishings dealer group.  It aggregates the knowledge and best practices of dealers who have tackled industry challenges and developed a winning strategy.

The Healthcare Market - Volumes 1 and 2

The healthcare market is a very hot topic in the office furniture industry today.  Our healthcare focus group dealers provided unique insight on how they developed a  winning healthcare strategy for their organization.  These white papers are compiled from the two focus group meetings which explored the key trends and forces at work in this market and presents actual field experiences that highlight the best practices, challenges and successes of WorkPlace Furnishings dealers working in the healthcare arena today.

Key aspects of these white papers are:

  • Help dealers navigate the diverse healthcare market
  • Provide a better understanding of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and how to work with them
  • Establish credibility and winning new business
  • Build relationships in the healthcare marketplace
  • Hear how other dealers are working with various types of healthcare facilities
The Dealer Technology Maze
For WorkPlace Furnishings members and, indeed, any office furniture dealer today, technology represents both an opportunity and a challenge.  It promises opportunity by providing dealers with a resource to increase internal productivity and efficiency and improve customer service and marketing.
At the same time, it represents challenge, for any dealer who neglects technology and fails to deploy it effectively risks creating a performance gap with other dealers in an increasingly competitive and demanding marketplace.
The challenge is made even more complicated by the frequently dizzying pace of technological change. Today's cutting-edge power application can quickly be rendered obsolete and second class by tomorrow's innovation!
This White Paper provides guidance and direction to WPF members on how they can negotiate the technology maze and ensure its effective use in their own dealership
